National Junior Pickleball is proud to be a part of the 2025 JOOLA Celebration! Get ready for an incredible weekend of competition, community, and exclusive JOOLA Pickleball experiences.

NJP powered by JOOLA is a Juniors-Only tournament is open to players aged 8-18 of all skill levels and will have a clinic & evaluation session (evening day 1), singles competition (day 2), doubles competition (day 3) and 4-player Team Competition (day 4).

Each division follows a round-robin format, leading to playoffs and medal rounds, so every player gets lots of play!

This is set to be the BIGGEST NJP Tournament in history with over 200 Juniors from across the country, plus international players from, Ecuador and South Korea joining the fun!

** IMPORTANT INFORMATION **

• Players will ONLY be registered for events with available spots in their corresponding age/skill division.
• Players are AUTOMATICALLY assigned competition division based on their DUPR at the time of registration AND their age on the first day of the tournament. See age & skill divisions below.
• Waitlisted players will be entered into events if space becomes available, but is not guaranteed.
• All inclusive registration fee applies regardless of number of events you compete in.
• Players registered in Singles Divisions ending in CY MUST plan on playing Singles pool play matches at Crush Yard Orlando, but will play Clinic, Doubles and Team at Gaylord Palms Venue.
• Singles divisions with split venues will play pool play in the morning, then quarterfinals, semis and finals in the evening at Gaylord Palms location.

Celebrate Pickleball with JOOLA and NJP!

• JOOLA Pickleball Junior Sponsorship- JOOLA representatives will be scouting the NJP tournament and awarding ONE player with the opportunity for a yearlong JOOLA Junior Player sponsorship! JOOLA will be looking for a young talent who aligns with their core values of inclusion, innovation, and inspiration- thus evaluating for exemplary sportsmanship, competitive spirit, and love for the game.
• JOOLA Pro Player Exhibition– Monday 6:30-8:30p. All NJP participants and their families are invited to watch all of Team JOOLA compete in games and a special meet & greet opportunities.

Schedule of Events 

All events are included in the registration fee. Players may choose to withdraw from any event you cannot participate in, but to get the full benefit of the tournament weekend, we HIGHLY encourage attendance at all events.

Friday, August 29 5:30-7:30 pm Skills Clinic & Evaluation

• The Evaluation session is an integral part of the success of NJP. This session helps us verify the skill level of each player and that you should be playing in the skill level you have selected at registration. Please make every effort to attend. Learn more in our FAQ section.

Saturday, August 30 – Singles Competition (8:00 am Check in, Start times vary)

• Format: Age, Skill AND Gender (boys OR girls)

Sunday, August 31 – Doubles Competition (8:00 am Check in, Start times vary)

• Format: Age, Skill, Co-Ed/Gender Neutral (2 players any gender)

Monday, September 1 – Team Competition (8:00 am Check in, ALL teams begin at 9:00 am)

• Format: 4 Player Co-Ed/Gender Neutral (4 players any gender) Game format: Rally scoring
• ALL Teams will play until 4:00 pm. Plan to stay until that time. If you leave before 4pm your team will forfeit your match and be at a disadvantage.
• Teams are grouped into pools of 4 for round robin pool play. Pools consist of 4 or 5 teams with the most similar average age & skill. Team members DO NOT need to be from the same age/skill division. Learn more about Team Day in our FAQ section.

NJP Regional Overview

Prizes for Age/Skill Advanced Division in Singles or Doubles

• • Gold: Joola Paddle and FREE entry into the NJP Championship Cup in October.
  • Silver: Skechers Pickleball Footwear
  • Bronze: Prime Swag

The top three finishers in every age/skill division and event will receive a medal.

Doubles and Team events are Co-Ed, meaning boys and girls compete together and can be the same gender or mixed gender of any combination (example a team can have 3 boys and 1 girl OR 4 girls OR 2 boys 2 girls, or any other combination).

All players must have a (free) DUPR account before the start of the tournament. All singles and doubles matches are reported to DUPR, however Team Competition matches will NOT be reported.

Junior Age/Skill Divisions

NJP powered by JOOLA events are thoughtfully designed for Juniors to compete against players of similar age AND skill levels, ensuring an exciting and balanced experience.

Age Groups

Ages 8-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18

Skill Level Definitions

Recreational – No DUPR – 2.89 DUPR
Familiar with the rules of pickleball and side out scoring. Has played recreationally with friends and family. Can reliably hit the ball over
the net and into the court.

Intermediate – 2.9-3.49 DUPR
Experience in local league and/or local tournament play. Has the ability to hit basic shots (dink, drop, drive, serve, overhead) on a
consistent basis.

Advanced –  3.50+
Can execute all skills with consistency and has advanced strategy knowledge. Competitive tournament experience in local, regional and national tournament tours.

** If you believe your DUPR is not accurate and would like to be considered for a different division, email registration@nationaljuniorpickleball.com with reasons for appeal. Players will be required to attend the Friday evaluation session. Any change in skill level (up or down) will be at the discretion of Evaluators and Tournament Director with the goal of providing the best overall experience to all players. DUPR ratings will be validated before the skills & evaluation sessions. **

To provide an optimal environment, we offer a variety of subdivisions for registration, but please note that any group with fewer than five participants may be combined with another closely matched age or skill division.
