The NJP Tour powered by JOOLA tournaments are designed specifically for juniors to compete against players of similar age and skill, creating both an exciting and balanced tournament experience. To ensure fair play and full divisions, NJP offers a variety of age groups and skill levels.

Please note: if a division has fewer than five players or teams, it may be combined with another closely matched group.

Team Format

Teams of 4 players are broken into divisions based on their total combined DUPR rating to compete against each other in four 15-point games.

If a division has fewer than four, it may be combined with another closely matched group.

Team Match Structure (4 Doubles Games)

* Each player competes twice with different partners
* No player may have the same partner twice within a round.
* Each player must play once in G1/G2 and once in G3/G4
* If games are tied 2-2, tie break will be a 15 point Singles Showdown (singles points, rotating players every 4 rallies).

Scoring, Timing & Warm‑Up
* Rally scoring to 15, win by 2; switch at 11
* Timeouts: One 1‑minute timeout per game; 1‑minute side‑change timeout.
* Continuous points: no freeze; no win‑on‑serve requirement.
* Pool play: All four games are played regardless of the team match score.

Pools, Seeding & Finals
* Pool Play: Round‑robin pool play within division pool. There may be multiple pools per division.
* Seeding will be based on aggregate Team DUPR.
* Finals: Teams seeded #1 & #2 after pool play compete for Gold/Silver. Teams seeded #3 & 4 compete for Bronze/4th. Seeding based on pool play results.

Team Formation
* Age/Skill Teams may consist of 4 players of any gender combination.
* At time of registration, each player’s DUPR will be added together to determine the total team DUPR for division assignment. Two weeks prior to event competition, NJP will review total Team DUPRs and reserves the right to make division adjustments if a Team’s DUPR aggregate changes significantly.

Friday, July 24 – Sunday, July 26, 2026

The NJP Team Showdown will be a high-energy, 4-player team event featuring rally scoring and tons of team spirit. Players rep their club, academy, or crew across a full weekend of action. Teams are grouped by age (8–12 or 13–18) and total team DUPR, ensuring fair and competitive matchups. Whether you’re building skills or dominating the fast game, there’s a place for your squad.

NJP will make every effort to place players with a Doubles partner or Team Day team when needed. However, partner and team placement is not guaranteed and based on player availability. If NJP is unable to place a player with a suitable partner or team, the player will be withdrawn from that event and issued a refund for that event only. The player may still compete in any other events for which they are registered and eligible. NJP’s placement decisions are final.

Partner / Team Assignment
Once a player receives a Doubles partner assignment or Team Day team assignment from NJP staff, that assignment is considered final. A player who withdraws after receiving an assigned partner or team are subject to the following penalties:

First Offense: Formal written warning, forfeiture of all NJP Tour Ranking Points earned at that tournament, and prohibition from registering without a confirmed partner or team at the player’s next NJP Regional event.
