What’s New for 2026

Flexible Registration
This season, NJP Tour registration is more flexible. Players will pay a base registration fee (Early: $75) plus a per-event fee, so you can choose the events that fit your schedule.

We still highly recommend playing all events for the best tournament experience—more matches, more learning, and the full NJP community vibe. If you’re new to singles, don’t stress—many players end up loving it once they give it a try. It’s also a great way to build confidence and prepare for Dreambreaker singles on Team Day.

Divisions by DUPR

Same skill groupings, but now ranked purely by DUPR—no more labels.

NJP Tour registration is flexible, so you can choose the events that fit your schedule. We still highly recommend playing all events for the best tournament experience—more matches, more learning, and the full NJP community vibe.

As with most pickleball tournaments, players will pay a base registration fee plus a per-event fee.

Format

  • Each division follows a round-robin format, leading to playoffs and medal rounds, so every player gets lots of play!
  • The top three finishers in every age/skill division and event will receive a medal.

Every player also receives an event T-shirt, a swag bag packed with goodies, and an unforgettable weekend of pickleball fun!

Event Registration

    • $75 Early Registration (through 2/8)

    • $100 Registration (2/9-2/22)

Choose Your Events: Add the events you want to play based on availability and schedule

    • $40 per event – Singles, Doubles, Team (4 players)
    • $20 2 hour Clinic & Open Play

We highly recommend playing all events for the full NJP Tour experience.

If you don’t have a doubles partner, you need to attend the Social Clinic and/or Singles Day to meet other players and select a partner. If you’re still unpartnered, NJP will match remaining unpartnered players at 5:00 PM on Singles Day.

Team Day selections can be made until 3:00 PM on Doubles Day.

To get the full benefit of the tournament weekend, we HIGHLY encourage attendance at all events.

Need a doubles partner?
If you don’t already have one, plan to attend the Social Clinic and/or Singles Day to meet other players. If you’re still unpartnered, NJP will match remaining unpartnered players at 5:00 PM on Singles Day.

Thursday 5:00-7:00 pm Clinic & Social play

Clinic: Practice key skills, learn new drills, and connect with peers in your division

Social Play: Mix and mingle with players in your age and skill.

If you don’t have a partner yet, this is the best time to meet potential partners and teammates. Many of our best friendships start right here at the event! Doubles partnerships must be confirmed by the end of Singles Day. Team day selections must be made by the end of Doubles day.

Already have a partner and a DUPR, but can’t make the clinic? That’s okay! We understand travel schedules may cause late arrivals or missed sessions. You’ll still be able to compete as planned—but it’s a fun evening and a great icebreaker for the weekend.

NJP Championship Cup

The NJP Tour powered by JOOLA tournaments are designed specifically for juniors to compete against players of similar age and skill, creating both an exciting and balanced tournament experience.

To ensure fair play and full divisions, NJP offers a variety of age groups and skill levels.

Please note: if a division has fewer than five players or teams, it may be combined with another closely matched group.

Format

Each division follows a round-robin format, leading to playoffs and medal rounds, so every player gets lots of play!

The top three finishers in every age/skill division and event will receive a medal.

Age Groups

  • Ages 8-10
  • Ages 11-12
  • Ages 13-18

Skill Divisions

All players will automatically be placed into Singles and Doubles divisions according to their DUPR rating. A free DUPR account is required for participation in NJP events.

DUPR Skill Divisons:

  • No DUPR-3.0
  • 3.0-3.5
  • 3.5-4.0
  • ELITE 4.0-5.5

Placements & Partnerships

Initial Placement: Players are assigned to divisions based on their DUPR rating at the time of registration.

Pre-Event Review: Two weeks before the tournament, NJP will review and update all player DUPR ratings. If adjustments are required, changes will be made as space and format allow. Players will be notified of any updates.

Single-Event Ratings: If a player has a DUPR for only one event (Singles or Doubles), that same division will be applied to both events.

Doubles Eligibility

  • Players are automatically registered into their DUPR division category for singles and doubles. Team Divisions will be determined after all teams have formed.
  • Players may partner with a lower-rated player if they choose. Doubles teams compete in the oldest age group and highest skill division of the two players.
  • For requests related to division appeals or to confirm a doubles partnership, please email registration@nationaljuniorpickleball.com

One of the best parts of NJP events is that you don’t need to arrive with a partner or team in order to play.

At NJP, we’ve designed our tournaments to help players connect, meet new friends, and form partnerships onsite. In fact, nearly half of all NJP players come without a pre-arranged partner or team—and our proven system ensures that everyone gets placed and has a great experience.

If you don’t have a doubles partner, you need to attend the Social Clinic and/or Singles Day to meet other players and select a partner. We highly recommend playing all events for the full NJP Tour experience.

Here’s how it works:

  • Register solo or with a partner/team. Players may sign up with or without partners.

  • Meet & play before you commit. Through our Clinic & Social Play session and early round play, players get the chance to meet others before finalizing partnerships. Players without a pre-selected partner must select a partner from the SAME doubles age/skill division

  • Form your team by the deadline.

    • Doubles partners must be confirmed by the 5:00 PM on Singles Day.

    • 4-Player Teams must be finalized by the 3:00 PM on Doubles Day.

  • Still don’t have a partner? Don’t worry—our tournament director will partner remaining players the night before play begins.

Pro Tip: Attending the Clinic & Social Play is the best way to meet potential partners and teammates. Many of our strongest partnerships—and lasting friendships—start here!
